A safe, stable home is the foundation for everything else.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is NDIS-funded accommodation support that helps participants live as independently as possible – either in their own residence, or in a safe, supported home. GIFSA provides SIL housing in Kalgoorlie and Esperance, with support tailored to each participant's goals and needs.
Home as the foundation for independence
A safe, stable place to live gives people with disability the foundation to build the rest of their life: friendships, routines, confidence and a genuine sense of belonging. Without that stability, it's much harder to focus on anything else.
SIL at GIFSA provides specialist accommodation that enables participants to live as independently as possible in a safe, supported home environment, within their own community. Support is tailored to each person, with the level of assistance built around their goals and needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Supported Independent Living for?
SIL suits NDIS participants who need help with daily tasks and supervision at home but want to live independently rather than with family or in residential care.
Is SIL funding included automatically in an NDIS plan?
No. SIL is funded based on an assessed need and is included in a participant's plan following an assessment process. Our team can talk you through what that involves.
