One local provider, a full range of supports
GIFSA has supported people with disability in the Goldfields-Esperance region since 1991. Today, we're a registered NDIS provider offering one of the broadest ranges of services in the region, all under one roof.
What services does GIFSA offer?
- Assistance with Daily Life: support with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks and everyday routines.
- Social and Community Participation: support to build friendships, take part in activities and get involved in the community, including our purpose-built Activity Hub.
- Supported Independent Living: specialist accommodation for participants to live as independently as possible in a safe, supported home.
- Short Term Accommodation: a welcome break for participants and an opportunity to build confidence and independence.
- New adult skill-building programs: five new 10-week programs, LifeReady, Goldfields Creators, Move Well, Our Place and LifePlus.
- School holiday and weekend programs, for younger participants.
Which NDIS funding covers these supports?
What's funded, and how much, always comes down to your individual NDIS plan, but most of our supports fall under the NDIS Core Supports. The new adult skill-building programs may draw on Core Supports or Capacity Building Supports, depending on the program and your plan.
How do I check what I'm eligible for?
Not sure what your current plan covers, or whether you're eligible for the NDIS at all? Our team can talk you through what's included in your plan and how it applies to GIFSA's services. If you're new to the NDIS, read our guide, What Does NDIS Mean for You?, for a broader overview of eligibility and funding, or follow our Getting Started with GIFSA checklist for the practical next steps.
Why choose a local provider
More than 60 per cent of GIFSA's participants have been with us for over a decade. That's a reflection of what a genuinely local provider can offer: teams based in Kalgoorlie and Esperance who understand the community, and a not-for-profit model where everything is reinvested into participant services.
